Here's the thing about slow pitch: sometimes you just need to unload. And that’s exactly what Petty Theft Row did this week, exploding for a 20-5 victory over @Free Agent Team 2. After a disappointing loss to @The Barracudas, Petty Theft Row needed this one, and the bats delivered. The Row found their groove after a week of inconsistent offense.

The game wasn't a total laugher, though. Remember, nothing is easy for this club. Still, a 15-run win is always welcome, especially on the road at North Meadow Field 5. Petty Theft Row reminded the league that they can still put runs on the board, after a subpar offensive output the previous week. The Row are nothing if not streaky.

Around the league, @The Warriors continued their reign of terror, crushing @Free Agent Team 3 by a brutal 27-0 score. Six and oh. Someone needs to stop them. @The Lobsters are also undefeated at 4-0 after sweeping @The Angels and @The Barracudas, 22-12 and 19-1 respectively. @Beast is undefeated too at 2-0 after defeating @Fattened Calves, 6-5, and @Owen, 18-8, on Saturday. Elsewhere, @Fattened Calves rebounded from their loss to Beast with a 23-3 shellacking of @Free Agent Team 3. @The Dirty Water Dawgs also put in work on Saturday, topping @Owen and @The Traffic 19-9 and 18-3, respectively.

This win puts Petty Theft Row at 2-2, tied for ninth in the standings. Up next: a chance to climb above .500 against @The Angels, who sit at 3-2 after a split decision against @The Reservoir Dogs and @The Lobsters. Another big opportunity looms as the Row have a double header the following week against @Fattened Calves and @[FORFEITED]. Can the Row build some momentum, or will the inconsistency continue?

Looking ahead, the path doesn't get any easier. After @The Angels, the Row have a date with @Fattened Calves, who sit at third overall at 5-2. It's a chance to measure themselves against one of the league's best, and maybe, just maybe, start to string together a few wins. Time to get back to work.
