Row Gets Back On Track

One step forward, two steps back? Not this week. After a brief stumble, Petty Theft Row got back in the win column, and in convincing fashion.

Let's get right to it: Saturday's game against @Rebels was a statement. A 15-4 victory? A rout. No need to overthink it. The Row came to play, and @Rebels simply didn't have an answer. Sometimes softball is simple.

The league landscape is starting to take shape. @Hoyas and @The Lobsters are leading the pack, undefeated at 5-0 and 4-0 respectively. Then come a trio of 4-1 teams battling for position: Petty Theft Row, @The Bat Men, and @Wingdingers. It's crowded at the top, folks. Further down, @Uptown Knights haven't found their stride yet, sitting at 0-7. Ouch. They lost a close one to @Rebels, 10-9, but followed that with a mercy rule loss to @Wingdingers, who also defeated @The Warriors 8-7. @The Bat Men also had a dominant 15-0 win over @The Goodfellas. Speaking of dominant wins, @The Lobsters took @Baby Cakes 21-1.

Remember that early-season loss to @Hoyas? It still stings, especially as they continue to bulldoze through the league. Well, circle your calendars, because the rematch is coming. This Saturday, Petty Theft Row gets another crack at the undefeated @Hoyas at North Meadow Field 7. Can the Row hand them their first loss and avenge that shutout defeat from a few weeks ago?
