Row Rolling

Back-to-back wins. Look, we'll take it. After a rocky start to the season, Petty Theft Row finally found a groove this week, racking up two victories on Saturday and climbing up the standings.

First up, the Row took down @Uptown Knights 11-5 in an away game. The @Uptown Knights are still searching for their first win, sitting at 0-5. The Row followed that up with a decisive 15-4 victory over @The Traffic at home. That’s a strong statement. @The Traffic are also having a rough go, mirroring the @Uptown Knights at 0-4. It’s good to get wins where you can, and the Row took advantage.

The league continues to take shape, and the top spots are hotly contested. @Hoyas, who blanked Petty Theft Row 11-0 in week one, remain undefeated at 4-0, showing no signs of slowing down after a 10-4 win over @Fattened Calves and a dominant 22-4 performance against @Rebels. @The Lobsters aren't far behind at 3-0 following an 11-4 rout against @The Bat Men, who still hold a solid 3-1 record despite the loss. What to make of @Fattened Calves? After looking like world-beaters early, they dropped a 9-6 decision to @The Bat Men and then that 10-4 loss to @Hoyas. The middle of the pack is a scrum — @Wingdingers are 2-1 after shelling @The Traffic 20-6, and @The Warriors are an even 2-2 after eking out a bizarre 1-0 win over @The Goodfellas. Things are tight.

The Row's performance this week pushes us to 3-1, putting us in a tie for third place with @The Bat Men. It’s an encouraging sign after last week's split decision. Remember that opening-day shellacking at the hands of @Hoyas? Yeah, still stings. But these two wins are a step in the right direction.

Next up: a Saturday showdown with @Rebels. Then, a chance for revenge against @Hoyas the following week. Circle that one on your calendars, Row faithful. It's going to be a long summer.
