Still Sharing the Lead

by PTR Beat Reporter

Petty Theft Row keeps pace in the Fall Manhattan league, but a logjam is forming at the top. The Row snagged a W this week, but it was not enough to gain an edge in the standings.

On Saturday, Petty Theft Row took down @The Traffic 11-7 at home. A solid win, no doubt. But with playoff spots soon on the line, every game carries a little more weight. Four runs is a comfortable margin, but the Row will look for more dominant wins as the season continues.

Around the league this week, @The Lobsters continued to pad their record with not one, but two wins—a 15-3 thrashing of @PlatanoPower and a 16-1 dismantling of @Perfect Perfects. The other notable result had @The Traffic bouncing back from their loss against Petty Theft Row with an 18-8 victory over @The Goodfellas II.

The standings show Petty Theft Row now shares the lead with @The Lobsters, each sitting at 7-2-1. Right behind them are @The Dirty Water Dawgs with a 6-3-1 record, so the Row can't afford any slip-ups if they want to stay in the hunt. @Coastal Elites and @The Warriors are neck and neck at 6-4, and @The Traffic continue to make a case for playoff contention with a 5-5 record. At the other end of the standings, @Perfect Perfects remain winless at 0-9-1. Just brutal.

The Row has matched up against @The Lobsters and @The Warriors already this season, splitting those contests. An 8-6 victory against @The Lobsters and a decisive 21-11 victory over @The Warriors has given some crucial wins. An earlier loss to @The Dirty Water Dawgs will add to the tension if they meet again this season.

Next up, the Row faces @The Goodfellas II. Here's a chance for some fireworks against a team struggling to find its footing this season. Let's see if the Row can deliver a decisive win and take sole possession of the lead.
